Skin types and problems

We consider that each type of skin is linked to a temperament, that a skin problem is caused by a humoral imbalance often between PH and oxidation. This problem is regulated by the positive and negative charges of the selected essential oils as well as by the other integrated active ingredients.

How to have perfect skin by following the model of the perfect temperament?

Detection of a skin imbalance: PH vs Oxidation

PH

It corresponds to the analysis of acidity in the body, the skin.

The lower the PH, the more the ground is oxidized. Dry skin has a very acidic pH, below 4.5. Fine, tight skin is more easily prone to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is oxidized skin that needs antioxidants.

With the PH we determine:

- an acid environment

- an alkaline medium

Oxidation

Allows you to know if a medium is oxidizing or antioxidant.

For oxidation and according to the analyzed PH and resistivity*,

(*It corresponds to the body's ability to pass energy and protect itself from too high a flow.)

We determine:

- An oxidized medium

- A reduced environment

oxidation

Oxidation acts as a barrier in the body, the more a ground is oxidized, the more difficult it is for the energy to pass: We are talking about positive charges or properties.

Antioxidants help protect the body and make the passage of energy easy: We talk about negative charges or properties.

The study of these 3 parameters makes it possible to determine the temperament of a type of skin and therefore its proportion of elements.

Link between skin type, moods and temperaments.

For an oxidized skin which has a predominance of positive properties, the balance is created with contrary properties therefore a need for negative properties.

In our nourishing cream with antioxidant active ingredients we use essential oils that contain negative molecules such as Esters and sesquiterpenes.

The intrinsic antioxidant qualities of vegetable hyaluronic acid, fig, borage will come to form a rebalancing synergy.

The 3 skin types

Dry, sensitive & wrinkled skin

Dry and sensitive skin has an acid pH, generally close to 4. This excess acidity leads to redness and pimples, promotes dehydration and the appearance of certain diseases such as eczema. The skin is also less well protected and reacts more to external aggressions.

The lower the pH, the more the medium is oxidized . Dry skin has a very acidic pH, below 4.5.

Oily or acne-prone skin

Oily and/or acne-prone skin has a too alkaline pH. This promotes irritation, the development of bacteria responsible for acne and the dilation of pores.

Oily skin has an alkaline pH greater than 6. The more alkaline the pH, the more the medium is reducing and therefore antioxidant.

Normal to combination skin

So-called "normal" skin does not have any particular skin problems. Their pH is neutral and well balanced, neither too acidic nor too basic. Treatments must allow this natural balance to be maintained.

Temperaments by skin types

Dry skin

🌬Air: Blood 🌬

Sanguine Temperament (Wet & Warm)

Medium: Acid/oxidized

Oily or acne-prone skin

🌑 Earth: Black bile 🌑

Melancholic Temperament: (Cold and dry)

Middle: Basic/reducing

Normal to combination skin

The temperament of normal skin is between Fire and Water:

🔥Fire: Yellow bile (🔥

Choleric temperament (hot & dry)

Medium: Basic/Oxidized

💦Water: Lymph 💦

Phlegmatic Temperament (Wet and Cold)

Medium: Acid/reducer

Bonjour,

Bien cordialement
Chloé Meillat
